Q

how do I return a digital book

I'm finished with my digital loan. Loan was for a Kindle. Can I return it early so someone else can enjoy it?

Thanks for asking! You sure can. To return Kindle books early, visit Amazon.com in any web browser and sign into your Amazon account. In the 'My Account' section, scroll down to "Manage your Content and Devices." The "Your Content" tab should show all the Kindle books you've purchased or borrowed. Find the title you'd like to return, click on the little button that says "Actions", and choose "Return This Book" in the pane that pops up. In Chrome, it looks something like this:

That step will free up the license for the ebook to be used by another borrower and open up a spot on your library card to borrow another book. If you have any trouble, or if this looks completely unlike the process you're used to, email back or give a call to 402-444-4800 for assistance.

Thanks again for using AskOPL!
