I wanted to find information about the old Cliffs restaurant that used to be out on dodge st by the golden spike drive in in omaha ne.
Thanks for asking! Was there particular information you were hoping to find? I turned up a few things about Cliff's in the Historic World-Herald Archives, which you can also access from home using your library card. There's also a great local blogger who has written quite a bit about Omaha's 'Forgotten Cuisine' and lost-but-loved restaurants. Take a look at this post and you'll find a nice piece about Cliff's about halfway down the page.
I'll attach three articles from the OWH to this reply - the oldest ad for Cliff's I could find, and two pieces from Peter Citron's long-running food column that talk about the end of Cliff's run and the two restaurants (run by the founder's widow and Jack and Mary Wollen) that carried on the Cliff's legacy.
Thanks for using AskOPL!
