There are 2 DVD versions of Henry V (2000 and 2006) listed in the catalog, and I can't make a request for either. (Both are "MCC only ask at
Thanks for asking! Unfortunately not. The "MCC Only - Ask At Desk" status denotes an item belonging to the Metro Community College library that is either on course reserve or kept exclusively for Metro students and faculty. While MCC shares most of their material in return for sharing our computer system, there are a few cases where our collections are separate.
Let me propose a few alternate solutions for you. First, take a look at the miniseries adaptation of Henry V called Hollow Crown, which OPL does have available. Second, consider suggesting a purchase that OPL add another version of Henry V into our collection, and I'll do the same - I'm sure we have had copies of the Olivier and Branagh versions in the past that wore out or were lost over time, and it just happens that no one has called attention to the gap lately. Third, if you're needing to find the film within the next few weeks, inter-library loan may be the way to go. As always, weigh the costs and time against used copies or digital rental options.
Thanks again for using AskOPL! Please feel free to call 402-444-4800 with further questions.
