Answer

We have a clipping file of obituaries from the Omaha World-Herald that covers the period from 1977 through 2008, and we have partial indexes for the years prior to 1977.  The obituary files are found on the 3rd floor of our downtown branch at 215 S. 15th St.  Please call 444-4825 if you would like to have a staff member check the obituary file for a name.  We will mail out photocopies of an obituary in the 1977-2008 clipping file for a $5.00 fee and photocopies of older obituaries for a $20.00 fee.  Please call 444-4825 for more information, or send an email to research@omahalibrary.org.  Further information on Omaha-area obituaries can be found here and here.
