Is it possible to find a list of telephone exchange names used in Omaha prior to when 3 digit prefixes were used? If so, where can I find this information?
I would also like to know what prefixes are now used for them.

Answer

The following informaiton was found in the archives on 3rd floor of Main Library.  This is a memo from the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company dated September 11, 1960.  

Telephone Number Prefixes changed to numerals.  

Omaha telephone numbers have a new look. All prefixes have been changed from two letters to three numberals. the new Seven numberal numbers will permit Omaha telephones to be coneected to the nationwide long distance dialing network in the summer of 1961,
