I am new to ebook checkout. Trying to find "Same Kind of Difference As Me" by Ron Hall to borrow on my kindle.
Thanks for asking! I'll try to send a couple things to help you navigate through it, but please feel free to bring your Kindle to any Omaha Public Library location. We should have staff on hand who can take a minute to walk you through the process, and it'll get a lot easier after the first couple times you go through it.
Are you using a Kindle Fire? If so, you'll find it easier in the long run to install the Overdrive App. There's a lot of work on the front end, but it's simpler after that. If you're more of a visual learner, check out these tutorial videos.
It looks like we do have 'Same Kind of Different As Me' in our ebook collection. Follow the link I included with the book's title, and it'll take you right to the page. If you have your library card and PIN number handy, you can even go ahead and check it out now then download it once your Kindle is ready to roll. (I searched for it from ebooks.omahalibrary.org, but you'll be able to find books right on your Kindle inside the app, too.)
If you're using an earlier-generation Kindle your checkout process will be a little different. You'll check the book out from us, confirm the checkout in your Amazon account, then have Amazon sync the book right to your Kindle.
Hope that helps! Seriously, though, if you have any trouble pop in to see us with your eReader, or give a call to 402-444-4800.
