Thanks for asking - yes! For most Douglas County residents - library users with normal privileges, let's say, which it looks like you are - 40 items per card is the maximum checkout. That includes any mix of books, magazines, CDs, books on CD, etc. There are some collections that have separate limits on how many you can check out - 10 DVDs, 2 Playaways - but they still count toward your total of 40.

To muddy the waters a little more, ebook checkouts are an entirely separate pool - every borrower can check out up to 5 ebooks or downloadable audiobooks at any time, completely separate from their 'physical' checkouts.
